Date: Saturday June 9th, 2018
Location: The Orchards Residents Association Clubhouse
Time: 10:27am
We arrived as last minute as we could get away with and still set up before opening time of 11am. We do this so that our fresh samples are, well, fresh. The weather is calling for thunder and lightening with some rain however, the die-hards are here both vendor and customer alike.
This is a fairly new market. It started last year in 2017 and has since improved due to the ORA finishing their beautiful community and park. This is the first of many markets we have signed up for and the first to get back to us as soon as we inquired so we are quite loyal to this wonderful group of committed people who work hard to make this market happen.
The market is every Saturday from 11-3pm. We are there every second weekend starting June 16th. Along with us there are Steve & Dan Fruit, BroBrick Soaps, Burrazo Burritos food truck, Sun Cheekz Sarongs, Arbonne goods, a cool little macaron baker, and more.
This market was a smaller one due to the weather warnings. We had to close down early however, we did get to meet and connect with some great people that live in the neighbourhood before we got blown away.
For our very first market out, I would say we did alright. We are definitely looking forward optimistically as we progress into our summer market season. We can't wait to connect with our fellow Edmonton-ians!
Stay tuned for more blogs and engagement from us as we learn the ups and downs of coffee and entrepreneurial life. Catch us on Instagram @raefencoffee or Twitter @HraefnR to know what we are up to on a regular basis or just to connect with us.
Cheers for now!
